Sony HX90v and HX99 comparisons:

Here are my tests with the 2 cameras: Sony HX90v and HX99: the pictures outdoor and indoor was taken almost at the same time
so it's the same conditions of light, at same settings: Intelligent Auto for outdoor and P for indoor, so you can compare the 2 cameras:

Left: Sony HX90v: always good exposition and nice colors - Right: Sony HX99: over exposed and colors yellowish

Left: Sony HX90v: always good exposition and nice colors - Right: Sony HX99: over exposed and colors yellowish

Left: Sony HX90v: nice and natural colors - Right: Sony HX99: less details in dark aeras, clouds more whites and colors more yellowish

Left: Sony HX90v: nice and natural colors - Right: Sony HX99: less details in dark aeras, clouds more whites and grass more yellowish

Sony HX99: colors so yellowish ! I never had so yellowish with the HX60, HX50, HX90v...

Indoor the Sony HX99's pictures are looking so flat, even at Saturation +2 and +3:

Sony HX90v, P, Fine, Saturation: 0, 1/50, f3.5, iso 1600  -------------------------------------------  Sony HX99, P, Saturation: 0, ExtraFine, 1/50, f3.5, iso 1600

Sony HX90v, P, Saturation: 0, Fine, 1/50, f3.5, iso 3200  ----------------------------------------  Sony HX99, P, Saturation: 0, ExtraFine, 1/50, f3.5, iso 3200

Sony HX90v, P, ISO: 1250, Saturation: 0,  ----------------------------------------  Sony HX99, P, ISO: 1250, Saturation: +2

Sony HX99, P, ISO: 1000, Saturation: +3
FOR ME THE HX90V LOOKS BETTER THAN THE HX99 which pictures has less punch, less life, even at Saturation +2 and +3

Here is a test I did with the Sony HX80 and Sony HX90v,
my conclusion is that the HX80 is as good as HX90v if you don't enlarge the photos:
Voici un test que j'ai fait avec le Sony HX80 et Sony HX90v:
ma conclusion est que le HX80 est aussi bon que le HX90v si tu n'agrandis pas les photos:
https://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/64807829

My conclusion for those 3 Sony in iso 1600 and 3200:
I had the Sony HX60v and the quality of the photos is about the same as the HX90v.
The HX50v does less grainy than the HX20v but maybe also less sharp.
The HX90v is less crisp and more grainy than the HX20v and HX50v.
